Pete’s Dream

Pete’s Dream is a fishing boat based out of Tarpon Springs, Florida.  In 2008 the crew went fishing in international waters off the coast of Cuba when they got caught by hurricane Ike.

"Well it was like a torrential rainfall in the cabin," said Captain Kris Geidel.

The crew was soon trapped in the storm.

"I was planning on staying and waiting and letting the storm go by, but when we got to the point of Cuba, we were two days ahead of it we though, that’s what we thought…" he said.
