Always Look on the Bright Side of LIFE

10-2011_theres_always_a_bright_spot

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad.

Other things just make you swear and curse.

When you’re chewing on life’s gristle,

Don’t grumble, give a whistle,

And this’ll help things turn out for the best

Gotta Love Monty Python!

Wasn’t There A Factory Here?

Dsc093787980tonemapped-l1

An abandoned cement factory creates an interesting subject in today’s post.  Bamberton, BC, Canada was one of the first town/companies established in our area, and the cement produced at this factory was used throughout Canada in the formative years in nation building.  In 1980 the factory was abandoned and since then development plans have been worked on to try and bring a development project to the area, but ongoing controversy and disagreements continue to delay any work here.  The last chapter of this area remains unwritten, and today’s photoblog post “Wasn’t There A Factory Here?” discusses the history and current situation.
